DEAR BLACK PEOPLE: JUST BECAUSE YOU SEE A MONKEY ON TV DOESN'T MEAN IT'S RACIST

When people went crazy over those Adidas hi-tops with the cuff, I said it then: "the angry black routine is getting old". And while today it's not getting any younger, the same old routine is being used in the form of anger toward NBC.

The network is accused of being racist for showing a commercial with a monkey in it after Gabby Douglas won her gold medal. I can't express enough how upsetting this is to me, and how embarrassed I am to be a part of the group of people who believe this.

I saw this video that someone took the time to upload on YouTube.

Looks racismy doesn't it? Well how about this?

Come on, people. I just had to do this very thing with the Lil Wayne video that people said predicted the Colorado shootings. If you watched the whole commercial here, you'll see that in this promo for the upcoming show Animal Practice, the monkey was daydreaming about being in the Olympics while watching a white man on the rings. What's so damn racist about this? Nothing. Are you all saying that Gabby is a white man or a monkey? Who's racist now?

I've been seeing this commercial since the Olympics began, and I swear I knew one day a bunch of idiots were going to somehow turn this commercial into a thing. I wonder what's going to be said about this promo for the show:

My advice to the angry is get a life. Stop looking for trouble, because there are real issues that need to be addressed that no one is doing a thing about.
