First thing's first: If after you read a post and you don't hate the post...even if you don't want to comment on the post, LIKE THE POST. IT MATTERS.
When you make a comment to this blog through the Disqus comment system, it should show up immediately. You can choose between Yahoo! Facebook, Twitter and Disqus (if you already have an account) how to sign in before posting your comment. If you don't see it, give it another shot. If you still don't see it, you can notify us by clicking the envelope at the bottom of the screen in the toolbar. It could be a problem on Disqus' end, but we'll look at it.
If you make a comment through the Facebook comment system, and you want your comment to show on your Facebook profile, make sure you check the box that says "post to Facebook".
Because the content on the Insane Asylum Blog is designed to generate strong emotions, we don't delete comments. We do delete comments from bots or auto-generated comments (of course).
Also, we love and respect the ability to freely speak our minds, but your comment could be deleted if you:
1. Make a comment that has nothing to do with the post.
2. Shamelessly self-promote without commenting on the post.
3. Use slurs. Some of our posts deal with race, conspiracy theories and homosexuality and they're written to the limit. If you still feel like you have to exceed the standard set before you, keep your comment to yourself.
4. Make a threat. Besides how lame is that? And, with the technology available to us today, the person you threaten could obtain your location and then what? We'll be writing about you.
5. Make personal attacks. If you can't use your big-boy/girl words to get your point across without calling someone names, then you need to fix that about yourself.
Other than that, keep 'em coming and thank you for reading the Insane Asylum Blog.
SAY IT, DON'T OVERPLAY IT
