#insaneasylumblog- Throughout history we have heard of many murderers who have practiced cannibalism. Some of those include American Hamilton Howard "Albert" Fish (AKA 'The Boogeyman"), who from 1924-1932, raped and murdered children and ate parts of their corpses.
As we watch television together, my seven year old son constantly flips channels and it really works my nerves, especially if I've gotten into the program we're watching and he turns just because he suddenly loses interest. Sometimes I find myself screaming at him or threatening to bop him on the head with the remote. Although I would never do it, everyone doesn't have the ability to take a hold of their emotions before they get out of control.
Twenty-nine year old homeless man, David Matthew Young of Winter Haven, FL., has been booked into the Polk County jail. He's being held on charges of first degree murder, armed robbery and prohibited possession of prescription hydrocodone after stabbing 54 year old Martin Vasser to death for flipping channels in his own home on his own television.
Apparently, Young lives in the woods beside the apartments where Vasser lived and he befriended Vasser who was wheelchair bound. He used to visit him and watch television with him. Vasser had a habit of constantly changing channels and Young told police he used to become "very agitated" with him. I guess on this day, Young had had enough because he grabbed a knife, threw Vasser to the floor and stabbed him seven to eight times in the back, all the while telling him that he was "doing him a favor".
I guess the murder alone wasn't enough because Young then stole Vasser's prescription hydrocodone which he tried to sell to the man's neighbors. Police found Young in a tent in the woods where he confessed to the murder and still had the pills on him. Police are now looking for the knife that was used in the murder. Young told police that he hid the knife in a plastic shopping bag and threw it in a trash bin. Authorities said the knife would have been picked up on Monday and taken to the landfill. A Winter Haven Police spokeswoman said that they already have a solid case, but they are hoping the knife could be a key piece of evidence if the case goes to trial.
I don't know... I've been angry enough to want to hurt someone before, but I don't think I could ever do it. What about you readers, have you ever been angry enough to want to kill someone?
