POLICE OFFICER SHOOTS MENTALLY ILL, ONE-ARMED ONE LEGGED MAN AT GROUP HOME

Wow, as if policemen don't already have a bad reputation, a Houston policeman shoots a double-amputee in a wheelchair to death.

Officer Matthew Marin and his partner responded to a  call at a group home at 2:30 AM on Saturday. The caretaker said the one-armed one-legged man in the wheelchair - who happened to be mentally ill - was causing a disturbance and was out of control.

Once inside, officer Marin somehow allowed himself to be cornered by the mentally ill, one-armed one-legged man, who was waving what Marin referred to as a "metal object" and making threats. Although the mentally ill, one-armed one-legged came what he described as "inches to a foot" from him with this "metal object", Marin said that he couldn't identify said object.

So Marin shot him, obviously while the mentally ill, one-armed one-legged was "inches to a foot" from him.

Let's paint a picture: you're a police officer. A mentally ill, one-armed one-legged man in a wheelchair is coming at you waving a "metal object" and making threats. One of two things are happening here: either the mentally ill, one-armed one-legged man is taking turns waving the "metal object" and wheeling toward you with the one arm, or he is scooching (yes, I said scooching) toward you with the one leg while waving the "metal object" with the one arm. Does this seem like a situation that can't be diffused with a little non-lethal police training? Some pepper spray maybe? A taser perhaps?

Maybe Marin flashed to one of those zombie movies, and the mentally ill, one-armed one legged man in the wheelchair became a zombie to him and he panicked. Hey, where was the partner while he was being cornered by the mentally ill, one-armed one-legged man in the wheelchair?

By the way, the "metal object" turned out to be an ink pen. Marin was placed on a three-day leave pending an investigation.

It should be noted that Marin was involved in a shooting back in 2009 where he shot a man who wouldn't drop the knife he was holding inside his apartment.

MAN ACCUSED OF BEATING DAUGHTER AND GIVING HER A KNIFE AND GUN TO KILL HERSELF

#insaneasylumblog- 29-year-old Alejandro Galvan III has been charged with endangering a child and injury to a child under 15 in an incident that happened at his home back on Sept. 7. Police in Houston, TX. say Galvan's 11-year-old daughter told CPS punched her in the arm causing a bruise, then beat her with a belt on her legs, stomach and behind. She also said he gave her a knife and gun to commit suicide with.

Galvan admitted to beating her, and that the bruise she pointed out on her right arm was from when he punched her out of frustration. He said he gave her the knife and unloaded gun and told her to use them if she "still wanted to kill herself".

Houston police say that the photos of her injuries show the beating was "beyond what is necessary for appropriate corporal punishment". Galvan's daughter is in the custody of Children's Protective Services. He's currently in jail with a $5,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 1.

Personally, I don't think any police agency in Texas have the right to talk about appropriate corporal punishment, and I don't think Galvan would've said, "...if you still want to kill yourself" if she wasn't talking about doing it. A bit extreme his method was, but maybe he simply got fed up with her attitude and went there.

TWIN BROTHERS LIVE IN HOUSE WITH DECEASED, DECOMPOSING MOTHER FOR MONTHS BEFORE POLICE DISCOVER BODY

Police in Houston conducted a welfare check at a house on Glennscott Dr. near Hinman when a woman called and told them that her neighbor, Sybile Berndt hadn't been seen in a while. When her son, Edwin Berndt, answered the door, he told the cop that everyone was fine and there was no need for her to be there. The report said the officer would not leave, and insisted she had to see mother Berndt. She went in and found the body of the 89-year-old, lying face-down on the floor without underwear. Detectives said the body had been there for months, decomposing with insects crawling through it.

The detectives also said the house was in a "deplorable condition and smelled terribly", as 48-year-old Edward Larry and Edwin Christian Berndt were taken into custody and charged with murder. In an interview, they told the cops that they were her caregivers and that she had taken a fall on Jan 10. They never gave her any food or water during the time she was alive. They also never called for help and she died a few days later. They told the police they didn't call them because they didn't want to go to jail. While searching the house, investigators found bank statements totaling around $700,000, but the brothers said they didn't have enough money to get her medical treatment or bury her.

I just thought they were these weird twin killers before I heard about this discussion on Facebook about them.  Apparently, someone got upset at the people who were saying bad things. The commenter fervently told everyone that they were her neighbors, and the Berndt twins have a mental disability. That's why they were at home with their mother.

This changes everything for me. Now it makes sense that they said they didn't have money to get her any care or pay for a funeral, when there was $700,000 at their disposal. It makes sense that they didn't give her any food or water, leaving her to die. That's why they sat in there with her, decomposing with the insects. The brothers have since been ordered to undergo psychiatric exams.

Based on this information, do you think they should be charged with murder?

4 CHILDREN DIE IN FIRE WHILE DAYCARE OPERATOR SHOPS AT TARGET

There's a day care operator in Houston that needs to be taken to Tehran and stoned to death in the town square. Jessica Tata was all the way negligent when she allegedly left seven kids unattended while she shopped at Target. A fire started on the stove while she was gone, killing four of the children. I had to read it AND watch the video twice to believe it. One victim's mother, Tiffany Dickerson is suing Tata and the state of Texas for funeral expenses for her son, as well as punitive damages and medical expenses for her 2-year-ago daughter who survived the blaze with severe burns.

Part of the lawsuit includes suing Tata's parents who is thought to have a hand in establishing the day care. It also includes allegations of negligence against the state for not investigating Tata more thoroughly. They would have found out that she had a history of arson on her record, rendering her ineligible. If evidence doesn't lean in that direction, they will be dropped from the suit. She faces multiple criminal charges in connection with the fire, including manslaughter, reckless injury to a child and child abandonment. Here's the story:

What killed me was when I found out that she fled the country behind this. She has a dual citizenship in Nigeria, and with the help of the American embassy and the Nigerian ambassador to the United States, Tata was taken into custody by InterPol. That little stunt alone got her a spot on the 15 Most Wanted list for Harris County, and a permanent spot in the Insane Asylum Hall of Fame.  If you were a parent in this situation, how would you react to everything?
